Super Mario Bros. Warp Zones Guide

The Warp Zone in SMB is famous by itself. It continued and gave other games Warp Zones, and it just was a great addition to the game, and a great idea in general for games.

On this page you will find complete instructions on how to find the Warp Zones in SMB with Screenshots.

Worlds 2,3, & 4 Warp Zone

This Warp Zone is in Level 1-2. It is near the very end of the level.
To start, go to where Mario is in the screenshot below.

Next jump on a lift platform.

Let it carry you to the top and jump across to the top bricks on the right side.

Now simply keep running to the right and you will enter the first Warp Zone.

Simply enter a pipe to go to the world numbered above.

Worlds 6, 7, & 8 Warp Zone

This Warp Zone Area is in level 4-2. You can even take the first Warp Zone to get there faster. This Warp Zone is near the start of the level.

Go to where Mario is in the below screenshot.

There is an invisible block right above Mario. Jump and hit it to reveal it.

There is another invisible block next to that one, hit it as well.

Now begin to hit all the bricks above you. The furthest brick to the left contains a beanstalk that will bring you to this Warp Zone.

You may have to duck down and jump left to hit the middle brick.

There is also a third invisible brick that you would want to hit if you were a small Mario. But being Big Mario, hitting it just makes things slightly harder.

Climb the beanstalk.

It will bring you to the area shown below.

Just keep going right across the screen. You can collect the coins there if you want to.

And there you are, the Worlds 6, 7 & 8 Warp Zone!

World 5 Warp Zone

World 5 Warp Zone is located in level 4-2 as-well. It is located at the end of the level, just like the first Warp Zone.

This Warp Zone is located at the very end of 4-2, and you have got to get to the top of the level onto some bricks to reach it, just like the first Warp Zone as-well.

One way of getting up top, is taking some lifts like shown below.

Remember to jump across the holes, just like the one shown below.

If you don’t want to take any lifts, and just want to go across the level as normal, you can reach the the top of the bricks at the end of the stage.

When you are on top of the pipe sown below, hit the brick above you, then jump atop the bricks and run to the right until you reach World 5 Warp Zone.

There you have it, World 5 Warp Zone. This is the most unknown Warp Zone, people take the first two. But Nintendo couldn’t leave out a Warp Zone to World 5.
