Who's Less Biased?

If you're really into gaming, you probably read some video game magazines. But sometimes a magazine van be biased. This means they favour one particular console, handheld, series or developer more than others. Biased reviewers can really mess you up thought, if you can't decide between two consoles or games. Take Electronic Gaming Monthly for example, to me it seems like they like Sony much better than Microsoft or Nintendo. Usually the amount of Playstation 2 reviews is triple the number of Game Cube games. Sure, the PS2 has more games than the GC or the X-Box, but the PS2 is technologically inferior to the GameCube. Now, it would seem like a multi-platform magazine would be LESS biased than a magazine that's focused on one console, but the truth is multi-platform mags are MORE biased. Why? Because when a reviewer can review on different platforms they have the ability to score games on consoles they don't like lower. If a reviewer likes the PS2 more they can give the game a high rating, even if the game is mediocre. When a reviewer can only review, say GameCube games, they will be more honest and rate all games by the gameplay. So, no matter what console you own opt for Nintendo Power/PSM/X-Box Magazine as opposed to EGM or GamePro. ~Amatatomba, reader of EGM, Nintendo Power, CUBE, GamePro, GMR, Tips n Tricks, and old issues of GameNow!
