The Diaries of Mario
Part 2 - Rose Town

As I opened the door to the entrance I saw a big cloud of rain.  Just my luck now I'd have to go out in the rain.  I walked along the path out of the kingdom when Peach stopped me. "Stop Mario did the PM give you a letter?" she asked.  I said yeah in a hurry trying to get her out of my way.  She asked if she could come with me.  I told her no thanks she would just be a burden.  She told me not to judge her cause she was a girl.  She had a good point so, I told her to come along if she wanted.  "First let's stop at the store for supplies." She said.  As we went into the store I saw my friend Koopa and he was watching his father's shop.  We talked for a while as Peach went to get the supplies she needed.  I asked her why she had so much stuff, and told her we're only going to the Rose Town road.  She told me that was wrong and that I had read the paper wrong and that we were going to the Rose Town the actual town.  Now I didn't want to go anywhere that far I was a little scared to go out there, because of all the people who went there and didn't come back.  She told me that she had been in that area and went there 3 times so she knew the way, so I told her to lead us there.  I said my good-byes to Koopa and we were off to Rose Town.  We entered the forest or jungle or whatever it was, Peach called it Bandit's Way, because little girls who wander off are usually stolen and found dead.  By now I was officially spooked I did not want to go on but at least I wasn't alone so that kept me going.  The trees there were green as the plains if you saw another color you were lucky.  I saw something on the ground I thought it was silver, so I showed it to Peach she quickly slapped it out of my hands.  I was about to shout at her when she covered my mouth and pointed to the object it grew about 3 inches and the silver turned into deadly sharp spikes.  I ran about 7 meters away from it almost tangled up in a spider web and tripped over a fallen branch.  Peach laughed at me for a long time and I could blame her I looked pretty stupid I think.  After she laughed she helped me up and we were back on track.  She gave me a knife and asked if I could use it to climb a hill.  I didn't want to say no so I lied and said yes.  Although I didn't show she could tell I was lying.  So now I was stuck listening to a 20 minute tutorial about how to use a bloody knife (Annoying!!!!!!). Well besides that it's just boring climbing so I'll skip to the part when were at the top.  I was amazed at the view from the hill.  The truth is I wished I could share it with Peach.  Well before I could even daydream Peach told me we had to go. Now was the fun part she told me, sliding down the hill.  I said where do we slide, excited that we were about to do something fun for awhile.  I went to the slide area it was all metal, she told me long time a swordsman Chrono built this slide so his people would have quick access to the village.  The village is now that old bit of wood around that pile of trees right there.  Truth is I did not care I was just here to get something for my grandpa and then leave and go home.  Well anyway it was an easy walk to Rose Town from there.  Then finally we entered the town, it was beautiful I thought to myself.  I hadn't seen anything like it since my Nona took me to Italy.  Oh yeah and if you didn't know I come from a long line of Italians.  Well back to the story. "Hurry up slow poke" she shouted.  Peach walked quickly to the Rose Town Market.  I saw an old college buddy his name was Bowser.  Bowser and I were always competing weather it was with Daisy (I won that until she broke up with me), Grades, or Athletics.  We crossed each others paths but said nothing.  That was Bowser never talked to anyone.  Well now we were in Rose Town and I loved it, there was even an apartment for sale!!!  "I'm going to move here in a couple of months." She said.  I nodded the nod of ok, that's cool, nice. I asked her were cause I was thinking of moving here to after seeing the scenery here. Well she told me to come along and I did.  Then Peach pointed to a store at the end of the street "That's were we are going." She told me.  I ran with her to the store.  Out of all the sports I liked hurtles that's why I'm so good at jumping and running in Super Mario World, and I found out Peach loved it too.  It was weird Peach and I had so much in common.  Anyway Peach opened the store door and.....
