Go through the members list, and I guarentee you that at least 90% of the new members in 2010 alone are spam/ad bots. It's incredible how many are getting through the filter. Someone seriously needs to ban/delete them and then boost the security or requirements to make an account.

I'm not sure why they're all of a sudden getting past whatever is in place to keep them out. SMF might need updated or something. I might see if I can add one of those security questions in addition to Capatcha or whatever we have (like the ones where it says "If you're not a bot, type the 3rd letter in the word 'apple' " in a registration field that looks identical to DOB, Gender, etc.)
