Ladies and gentlemen, the bracket.http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?tid=329097&tclass=Nintendo%20City%27s%20Favorite%20Musical%20Artist%202As long as I'm staying home from school today, I figured I would start this.
This is going to be a much more complex nomination process than the first tournament, so it will probably also take longer. I want it to start earlier this year to avoid school getting in the way, which killed this tournament last time.
Here's how it will work.
Even if you participated in the nomination in the last tournament, please read this, as it will be nothing like last year.
I give a bit of credit to MattC13 for somewhat-helping me sort of come up with a small part of this. So if you don't like it, blame him too.

The second NCFMAT will be sorted mainly by albums. When you nominate an artist, you can include one song from each studio album they have released. You do not have to have a song from every album, but if you nominate a band, make sure you at least know songs from a good amount of their albums. If they've only released one or two, there's really not much you can do, but if you nominate one of the classic rock bands with 20-something albums and only put down one song, it sort of defeats the purpose.
I know there are some artists, like composers, who usually don't release music in album format. In these cases, just nominate a reasonable number of pieces. (I'd say between 3 and 7 for most.)
If you nominate between two and four songs, pick one or two to be your main songs for the lazy bones who don't want to listen to your whole list. If you nominate five or more, you must pick two. If you have two, it is recommended but not necessary that you pick a main song.
If you don't nominate four, you can still nominate more later. So you don't have to do it all at once, and with how tiring I'm finding out it is, I would probably actually recommend only doing a couple at a time.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!While each person can nominate (to the delight of some people)
up to four artists on their own at first, they can also add extra songs to up to four artists that have already been nominated. The same rules still apply for these; each person can put up to one more song per album. But yes, you can add a song to an album that already has a song. This will make up for the Led Zeppelin "fan" who posted "stirway 2 heavn" and left, and the person who picked all the crappy obscure songs by your favorite band that no one will like. It will also help when there was more than one legendary song on an album, and you want people to hear both.
You don't have to use them all at once, in fact I wouldn't recommend it. If you do, then I guarantee you that someone will post an awful nomination that you want to fix after you have already used them all up.
If you are doing an additional nomination, you still pick main songs.
If you nominate a band, and then someone else adds songs to the nomination, you can no longer take that band out of your nominations. So be careful.
There isn't a limit to how many people can back up a band. For all I care, (though it would get a bit bulky,

) every song ever made by a band could be included.
You have four of each type of nomination until I say otherwise. Use them wisely.
Nominations will end on Monday, May 24. You can change your nominations as much as you want up until then. I will try my best to make sure there are exactly 64 bands. If there are less, I will put N/A in the bracket for the last few, and the artist who would have faced them will advance to the second round. If the number is reached before the deadline, I will publish the bracket early and you will have more time to predict.
The tournament will begin on Monday, May 31. If all goes according to plan (

), the tournament will end on Sunday, August 1.
If you have questions, ask them, because I probably forgot to mention something.

Oh, and sorry it's so long. If someone could make a TL;DR that would be GREAT.
