Now that the site is up, people can continue submitting content. But, there are some guidelines that need to be followed.

For All Content:
*Correct and proper grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation must be used. Before you submit something, please be sure that you've proofread it yourself or had someone else.
*Obviously the content must follow basic rules that also apply here. Submissions must not be extremely violent or graphic, they can't include any serious profanity, or anything mature.

Reviews:
*Read Clide's Review Guide
*Remember, reviews are all about opinions. While you want to state the facts, you also want to tell people why it is or isn't a good game.
*Scores need to be in whole or half numbers. So 8 or 8.5 is acceptable but 8.2 or 8.25 is not.
*You can get creative with the format, but be sure to include at least an overall score.

Comics:
*Comics should be no larger width-wise than 610 pixels. They can be as long as you want, but the width should not exceed 610. This is because images larger than this get cut off in posts. Therefore, they can't be larger than that.

For now, that's all I have to say. I'll post more as needed.

Nearly all image programs will tell you the dimensions, but figuring it out varies program by program. In paint, go to Image>Attributes, and it will be the number in the Width box. In Photoshop, you can figure it out a variety of ways. I have PS set to display the dimensions at the bottom (instead of file size of whatever) or you can go to Image>Image Size and look at the Width. If you use something else and can't figure  it out, PM me or someone else and I can help you figure it out.

What if you're transferring something that has dimensions greater than the limit? I do believe almost all of my comics are stretched over 610 pixels horizontally. Does this mean I shouldn't bother transferring them? Because that kinda...would stink  Tongue

No, that applies to new content. I'll IM you about old content that's wider than 610 pixels later Tongue

Alright. I'm not trying to complain about the rule, I just wanted to check before I started transferring

Wait, do you have to follow the review rule or can you do your own format?

Wait, do you have to follow the review rule or can you do your own format?

Well you don't necessarily have to do a review in the format that the majority are done in (with everything broken down into categories). You could do a long paragraph review, a special format that goes with the game (like WillBill's creative Phoenix Wright review that was in a trial format) or if you have another idea, feel free to PM one of us to run it by us. If you do decide to use the standard format, just be sure to follow those basic rules Clide laid out.

And no matter how you do the review, scores must be given as a numerical score out of 10, either as a whole number or half number.

If you have specific questions or are unsure, just ask because we don't want anyone working hard on a review and then the format being totally wrong and having to be redone.

If you have submitted something to me or I've told you I would upload something of yours to the site that WAS NOT on the old site (meaning new content that you either just created or have only posted on the forums), please PM me to remind me. Also, if you've posted comics or fanfics or anything else on the forums and would like me to post them on the main site, PM me and let me know (links are helpful).
