One of the biggest anticipated DS, and games of this generation.
People were crowding stores to get this game. As since the wildly
popular introduction of Mario Kart in 1992, people have dreamed of
one thing. . .Online Capabilities.
This is the first Mario Kart which allows players to verse
each-other online, from anywhere in the world, while still
offering a jam-packed offline mode.
Like the other Mario Karts you ride on one kart and verse on
various tracks in grand prix mode, verse mode, and time trials. As
well as be able to do enter a battle mode, and some new modes.
You start by selecting your driver, you can then select from a
variety of karts for each driver, each kart will effect your
stats, acceleration, speed, handling, etc.
If you are doing a race, you will then select a track or cup of
tracks and race. Racing is like the previous Mario Karts, race
around unique and fun tracks, use items such as shells to shoot at
other drivers, mushrooms for speed bursts, and many, many more
items which do various things.
Mario Kart DS is jam-packed with more tracks than any other Mario
Kart! You get new original tracks, with Mushroom, Flower, Star,
and Special Cups, but you also get Retro Cup. With classic
re-created tracks from all the previous Mario Kart Games!!! There
are also different difficultly/speed levels for races, like in
previous Mario Kart Games, 50cc, 100cc, 150cc, etc.
A brand new mode to the Mario Kart Franchise is Mission Mode. It
pits you as a racer into various missions that take place in
various tracks. Such as drive through all numbered gates, collect
all the coins, and tons and tons of other missions.
There is also Battle Mode, which has become a legendary part of
the Mario Kart Series. Unlike any other Mario Kart before it, you
can now play battle mode against computer players! Another new
feature is you can play battle mode with up to 8 players!!! You
can also have team battles!!! There are new Battle Arenas, and
some classic ones, Mario Kart 64 fans will be happy to know Block
Fort is back!!!
Mario Kart DS is also Multiplayer. You can play with people with
DSes in the area, or connect to NintendoWifi and verse people from
across the world!!
If you verse people in your area, (near your DS) you can verse on
courses, and battle mode. If you choose to verse someone on
NintendoWifi, you can only verse on a certain amount of tracks, no
battle mode. But you can have a friends list and verse friends
from across the world!
Mario Kart DS is already being embraced by many as the best Mario
Kart Game. Giving all the benefits of previous Mario Karts, but
with tons and tons of new amazing features. |
