Super Mario Sunshine is a 3D Mario Adventure not done by the
creator Shigeru Miyamoto. Many have said this game could have been
much better, but it still got good reviews.
In Super Mario Sunshine you land on an Island, Mario is on
vacation. He sure deserves it after rescuing Peach so many times.
When he lands he gets framed by someone who is going around
making the island dirty. You get equipped with FLUDD. A Device
that will spray water. You control the direction of the spray with
the analog. There are other things FLUDD can do, like shoot two
streams of water downward, and allow Mario to jump and sort of
float across gaps. There is a couple others, I don't want to
spoil.
There are a variety of Mini-World in the game, like in Super Mario
64, and you have to collect Shine Sprites, like you did Stars in
Super Mario 64.
Each Mini-World has some cool, unique missions to get a Shine
Sprite.
As you collect Shine Sprites, more mini-worlds unlock, until to
fight the person who is behind all this.
Mario also uses different jump types, like in Super Mario 64.
Mario will use FLUDD to get some Shine Sprites, like clean off
dirty areas, and use it to fight many enemies. There are some
other "more Mario" shine-sprite missions.
The game also has some 3D Classic Mario Style Missions. With
Moving Platforms, that Mario has to work his way across.
There are also Yoshi's in the game Mario can ride.
The game packs some solid, fun gameplay. It just didn't blow
anyone away like Super Mario 64 did. But if you have a cube and
want an all-around fun action game, then this is a game to get. |
