Mario Kart 64, the sequel to Super Mario Kart, which wowed gamers
around the world. People were all looking forward to the next
Mario Kart, they were waiting for years. Happily, Mario Kart 64
became a huge hit, and many gamers like it more than the original.
You take control of one of 8 racers. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario,
DK, Yoshi, Toad, and Bowser. Each with their own unique mechanics,
Speed, Acceleration, and Handling.
You get to race in 4 cups. Each has 4 tracks. The tracks are
large, and a variety of them. With different terrains, going up
and down hill, etc.
In each race you get some fun items. Shells to shoot at other
players, mushrooms to get a speed burst, bananas for people to
slip on, and much more.
You can race in these tracks with computers or with 3 other
humans.
There is Grand Prix Mode to race an entire cup and try and get 1st
overall, maximum of two players for Grand Prix, there is Verses
for up to 4 players. You can select any track and race. There is
also Time Trials for 1 player.
And the famous Battle mode comes back. Where you race around in 1
of 4 battle arenas. Each with its own unique design. A couple are
quite big.
You battle with up to 4 people, you race around the track trying
to hit other players with Shells, Bananas, Stars, etc. Hit a
player 3 times and he/she loses.
Mario Kart is one of the highest selling N64 games, and loved
around the world by many as their personal favourite Mario Kart.
If you have an N64, this is a must play. |
