A very primitive Baseball game, even for the NES.
In Baseball all you really control is the ball and bat!
In 1 player mode you will pick and team and then start your game
against the computer. You will either be batting team or the field
team.
If you are the batting team, you will be able to move slightly in
your batting area. Then when the ball is thrown you will try and
hit it with the ball. Sometimes the ball will be slightly curved,
and you won't want to hit.
If you do hit the ball you will then run to first base, and then
second, and so on if you have time.
Basic Baseball rules apply, such as Balls, Strikes, Fouls, and you
can get Home Runs.
When you are the field team, you will be the pitcher. You will
pitch the ball and make it curved, or just a good straight pitch.
Then, if the batter hits the ball. . .you don't go after it! The
computer will take over your team and run for the ball. The
computer does a good job, it moves the closet player to the ball.
Once one of your players has the ball, it will be up to you to
throw it to whatever base will get the opposing team out, or stop
them from getting to home base.
2 Player mode is just as above, except both teams are humans.
Baseball for the NES, is a classic first for the NES, but with
every other NES Baseball game being faster, more advanced, and
better graphics, Baseball seems like just a trinket to look at.
