Story:
Ages ago there lived a land called Angel land. This kingdom was
ruled by two beautiful goddesses. Palutena who ruled light, and
Medusa who ruled darkness.
But Medusa hated mankind and tormented them. So Palatena turned
her into a monster and banished her to the underword. Medusa
joined forces with other monsters and evil spirits. There numbers
grew, and soon she launched a surprise attack on Angel Land. Most
of Palutena's army was destroyed, and Palutena herself was
imprisoned. With the little bit of magical power she had left, she
helped a young angel named Pit escape from a dungeon in the
underworld.
Now Pit must set out with just a bow and arrow and save Angel
Land.
Gameplay:
Kid Icarus is a simple going-up platformer. In each stage you
attempt to make your way to the top by jumping to and from various
platforms, some are small an require good accuracy. Like in games
like Pac-Man and Mario Bros., when you go all the way off to the
left of the screen you come out of the right, and vice versa. But
there are also enemies that will get in your way. Each with its
own abilities. Some fly, some don't, some can go low and hide in
the ground, other cannot. You are equipped with a bow and arrows
to fight off these enemies. Some can't easily be killed with a
single arrow. You can shoot up, as well as left and right.
If you are looking for a platformer game, this is a game that may
be worth a look. |
