   Description/Information:

The original, the one, the only, SUPER MARIO BROS.!

Do I need to give a description? You are at a Nintendo Fan Site, you should know what this game is all about. Well, if for some reason you have never played this game I'll give a description, but before that, Go out and get this game as soon as possible! It is been ported to the SNES, GBC, and GBA.

The evil King Koopa (Bowser) has kidnapped the Princess, and is causing chaos in the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario has heard of the Mushroom Kingdom's plight, and being the nice guy he is, he sets off to save the day. As well as make the NES the most popular video game system ever.

Super Mario Bros. is a platformer. True and simple. You run and jump. There are platforms such as bricks, coin blocks, and other various moving and non-moving platforms to jump from. You will have to accurately jump, as not to fall in a hole and die. There are many enemies along the way, each with their own abilities. Some can fly, some can throw hammers, some stand still and shoot bullets at you, some swim in the sea and chase you, some float in a cloud from the sky and drop spiky shelled creatures at you. There are also some tubes you can enter in the game, as well as beanstalks you can climb. These reveal secret areas. There are also 3 items you can get along the way. There is a mushroom which will make Mario Big, and let him get hit twice to die, a flower, still 2 hits and he's out, except he can now shoot fireballs and kill the enemies that are not immune to it. There is also the fabled star of invincibility, which will make you invincible to all enemies for a brief period of time. While invisible you can simply touch some enemies to kill them. There are 8 worlds each with 4 levels. At the end of each world is a castle, where you will face Bowser. He will get harder at each castle. There are also water levels, where you will have to swim across and avoid being sucked to the bottom of the sea, as well as sea creatures.

Super Mario Bros. is an amazing game still being enjoyed by millions. It's a timeless classic. If you have not played this game yet, please try and find it, and play it. Even if you play it once, you should experience this amazing game that captivated a generation, and truly set Nintendo as a king of the Gaming Industry.
