Welcome to the world of StarTropics, a very fun, unique
action/adventure game for the NES. A game that people loved, but
never made it past game 2.
In StarTropics you play as Mike. You are going to visit your uncle
Dr. Jones, a famous archaeologist. When you reach where your
supposed to meet him, you find out by talking to the chief of the
village that he has been kidnapped! Now, with just a simple Yo-Yo,
it is up to you to find him, and unlock a bigger story then just
your uncles disappearance.
Some of the game is a top down view of you. Where you move around
an island, or the sea. You can discover some secret areas on this
map, and talk to people. But don't worry, you won't just enter
into a battle with an enemy while walking around. You then will
enter a cave, or later in the game, another type of area. When you
enter this area you get a good detailed, diagonal view and your
character. This is where the game gets amazing. You have to fight
many different types of enemies. Killing them isn't just 100%
action. You will usually have to devise a strategy to defeat them.
There are also puzzles and secret areas. You will have to think,
as well as fight. It's really an amazing experience.
If you want an action game get this, if you want a sort an
adventure game get this, if you want a game that tests your brain
as well as brawn, then definitely get this game. |
