Description/Information: |

The game that brought the SNES to number 1 in its competition with
the Genesis; brought Donkey Kong back to life, and pushed the SNES
to the extreme.
Donkey Kong Country is a sidescrolling game. A very good looking
sidescrolling game. You control either Donkey Kong, or his brother
Diddy Kong. Like most sidescrollers, you have to get across each
level alive. In each level there are a number of different
baddies, as well as obstacles to get by. You have to swing vines,
use good timing and get blasted out of barrels, jump over and onto
many enemies, ride rhino's and swordfish, and much more.
There are different worlds/areas, each with there one themes and
stages, as well as Boss Enemy. There are also water levels, which
really help define the series and game. Not your basic
sidescrolling Water Levels, you travel in all directions.
The levels get harder and harder until you defeat King K. Rool.
There are some other Kongs along the way to help you out. You will
see Funky to travel back and fourth from worlds. You will see
Candy to save the game, and you will go see Cranky to get some
advice. (Cranky is actually the original Kong from the old Arcade
Donkey Kong, so you will see him talk about it.)
There is also a Two Player Mode. You can verse eachother, and race
to beat the game first, or you can be on a team, and beat the game
together.
Donkey Kong Country is a multi-million copy seller. Great
Graphics, Great Sound, and even Great Gameplay to go along with
it. If you have a SNES, and haven't played this game, this is a
must play. |
