After the mixed reviews of Zelda 2's sidescrolling nature, Nintendo thought they must go back to an overheard view, bring back what made the first one a hit, and improve on it dramatically. An evil wizard name Aganihm is trying to free the evil Ganon, who Link fought in the two previous Zelda games. One night, while you are dreaming, you hear a plea for help from Zelda. You wake up, and see your uncle, who should be sleeping this late. He is wearing armor and leaving for some sort of battle. He tells you to stay inside and wait for him. But you cannot accept that, so on this stormy night, you set out to see what's going on with your uncle, and find out who this Zelda is. Link to the past plays similar to the first Zelda, but with many enhancements and improvements. You will battle many enemies, in many places, which are alot of dungeons. In each dungeon you will have to fight a variety of enemies, as well as solve puzzles. You will find different weapons, and other items that will aid you on your quest. There are bosses you must face at the end of dungeons. There are also mini-games through-out your quest you can play if you chose to. They can be fun, and rewarding. If you liked the first Zelda, you are going to fall in love with this game. If you like above-head adventure games, you are going to fall in love with this game. If you haven't already, check out one of the best Zelda games. | | | | | | | | | |
