Nintendo 64 (N64)

(Click an above image to view full sized image in pop-up)

Yep, the Ultra Nintendo Entertainment System. . . . .Well it would have been if UNES wouldn't have been copyrighted.

Well the Nintendo 64 came out after the SNES, and it sure walloped a punch. It was the first video game system to offer true 64 Bit gaming.

The other competitors did the expected thing, and just doubled the bits, going from 16 to 32. But Nintendo came out with the N64. It also offered 4 controller ports, which are now standard on most video game systems.

It also started the whole Rumble feature, and got people used to analog.

It brought us some amazing games, such as Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, and Goldeneye 007. All of which are considered some of the best games ever made.
It also gave us Mario Party, a game that started tons of other copycat games.
But none have compared to the Mario Party series.

Many people still love and play their N64s. The last system to use cartridges.

So get 'N or get Out!
