Virtual Mondays- 4/13/09
Four new games are available today for your downloading pleasure. Two DSiWare titles, one WiiWare game and one Virtual Console game from the Sega Genesis.
DSiWare
Mixed Messages
If you’re looking for a massive party game that will provide tons of laughs, look no further. Mixed Messages is like a cross between the games “Telephone” and Pictionary. One player starts the game by writing a sentence that’s as wacky as they’d like, and the next player draws a picture that represents the sentence. Then they pass the DSi to another player who writes another sentence that describes what’s going on in the picture and so on. With pass-and-play multiplayer for 2 to 21 players and the ability to save multiple sessions, this game will provide instant entertainment.

WiiWare
Party Fun Pirate
This WiiWare game is based on the popular toy “Pop-Up Pirate” and involves thrusting swords into a barrel where your Captain is captive. The object is to put the most swords in the barrel, but if you put one in the wrong spot your Captain will go flying and the game will end. You can also use one of your Miis as the captain.
TOMY Corporation • 1-4 players • Rated E • 500 Wii Points
Virtual Console
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
Does this game really need explaining? It’s only been released on seven different consoles over the years, making it a classic game in its own right as well as part of a classic series. Anyways, in The Mayan Adventure you play as Harry Jr., a young adventurer in search of his missing father. Using your slingshot, you have to make your way through the treacherous jungle, avoiding deadly creatures like snakes and jaguars.

Is this in North America only? I don’t see any new games…

Yeah, Mondays are in North America, Tuesdays are Japan, and the PAL region is updated on Fridays. Sorry if it was confusing that I was saying “we” in this. I’m probably going to start doing the other regions as well too.
