Introduction:
Hello people, I'm zelazon and I'll be doing the review for metroid
prime hunters. If your wondering about my credentials, I was ranked
500 of the world, so that bring us to metroid prime hunters. Metroid
prime hunters is based of the acclaimed prime series as you control
samus aran in her helmet discovering new life, and eliminating evil
threats that the space pirates have been bringing throughout the
universe in the metroid series.
Story:
Well, in metriod prime hunters, you as samus aran have been assigned
to recover ocliths, large glowing crystals from planets withholding
them for the potential the crystal energy. The problem is that your
not the only one trying to find the crystals, as other bounty
hunters have their eyes on the crystals so it is up to you to find
the crystal before the other bounty hunter get their hands (or
claws) on the ocliths
Gameplay:
Gameplay is thoroughly enjoyable as you travel to different
locations within the games perimeters. For a metroid prime game, it
is fairly short, but for a ds game, it does the job in delivering
what players want from a metroid game.
I give the gameplay: 10/10
Graphics:
Graphics are superb for ds in this game, even with wifi action, it
does a great job to keep the game from making the graphics choppy.
I give the graphics: 10/10
Sound:
Musically, this game is lacking, but it fits the levels in which you
travel to, but music for players is just there, nothing to rave
about, although some of the music is repetitive, but sound good.
I give the sound: 8/10
Replayability:
Metroid prime games are in my opinion not the best games with replay
value, but this game is different as it offers wifi to compensate
for the lackingness that single player leaves you with.
I give the replayability: 10/10
Challenge:
At first I thought the game was super easy since there was no one on
wifi that was that good, but now and day, if your not on my level,
you stay a beginner. So in a sense, the challenge is there, and may
be too challenging for some players.
I give the challenge: 10/10
Frustration:
The only time this game can get frustrating is when you end up
getting beat by a cheater on wifi, or because of lag, or because you
lack the skill, but all and all, you can end up deleting your game
to start over your record.
I give the frustration: 10/10
Value:
$35 dollars for a game that offers wifi, and the ability
to voice chat with friend across the world, need I say more?
I give the value: 10/10
Single Player:
The major flaw to this game. The single player can be
repetitive as you end up fighting the same two bosses four times
over again. The levels aren't that big, and after playing on wifi,
the challenge just isn't there.
I give the single player: 4/10
WiFi
The best thing about this game, as your able to play with players
all over the world. Exchange friend code to gain the abilities to
talk or send messages to a person across the world. You can
go to
nintendowifi.com and input your ds wifi serial number to have
your record posted on nintendo wifi, so it basic made to check which
friend is playing legit, or which ones are disconnecting. This is
the reason to get this game. Also your offered six different hunters
depending on how much you complete the game, or been on wifi. Those
hunters that is, your going to have to get them on your own.
I give the wifi: 20/20
Overall:
overall, this game is good, and well worth to buy.
I give Metroid Prime Hunters: 80/100
Conclusion:
get the game, play people across the world, and become the best.
