Game Name: Golden Sun
System: Gameboy Advance
Genre: RPG
Developer: Camelot
Publisher: Nintendo
Release Date: November 15th, 2001
Players: 4 |
Introduction:
So here you are, a young boy named Issac (You can name him anything
really....I tend to keep the real name but ya know you can change it
but whatever) and you awake to your village being torn to pieces by a
nasty storm; which somehow makes boulders fall??? Okay anyway so yeah
you basically need to run around and try to help everyone in the
village and stuff. You then come across these strong arse men that
think you over heard them talking...(which you did) so of course in
games the bad guys blow it WAY out of proportion and of
course...attempt to KILL you. They just really knock you out...and you
start out...ermm....I forget its like 5 years later...or something
Story:
The main story is this, you and a friend from the billage Garet and
this other girl...Jenna I think it is and a old fella go up to this
restricted temple of a sort and try to find its secrets. When getting
threw the puzzles and such they find these stones...or crystals...and
they try to take em but THEN those dirty ol' bad guys from 5 years *or
around 5 years* comes and TAKES some of them from you, and are going
to light all the lighthouses. Now no one has any idea what that might
do to the world, so you decide HEY LETS GO STOP THEM!! oh hehe you
also go cuz they got your friends...but yeah you go on a quest to try
to stop them from possibly destroying the world, you make friends,
enemies, ya know the classic RPG.
Gameplay:
Okay now for game play, it is basic but if your into the classic
RPG battle system, you will fall in love with the game, all the
characters in the game carry a unique element, FIRE, LIGHTNING, WATER,
AND EARTH. And with that comes a whole group of unique SPELLS. And
also you get to wield some kick arse weapons...so who NEEDS em; also
you walk around like a classic RPG, can interact with like book
shelves, seeing if items are there and such.
I give the gameplay: 8/10
Graphics:
Well....this is kinda the downside, during battle the graphics kind
of look like they were clumped together, making the characters look
larger and crapier. But the graphics during regular game play, in my
opinion are great...so I will have to average it out so...
I give the graphics: 6/10
Sound:
hah...its a GAME BOY GAME PEOPLE...but yeah for game boy sadly its
horrible, but look at it THIS way...plug in your little
headphones....into a cd player and listen to some of your favorite
music!!!.. ^_^;;;
I give the sound: 4/10
Replayability:
Well it is really a question of how you liked the
game, me I would play it over again and try to find some good weapons,
items, and some secrets, and take my time with the game, so yeah if
your into RPGs and love going back and finding cool little extras, the
replay is medium.
I give the replayability: 7/10
Challenge:
Well...I will be honest, training is how you
say...harsh/frustrating...I got to the last boss and was 22 levels
under the lowest recommendation...I did beat it but I mean JEEZ you
don't even want to know how frustrating it is, but yeah the game is
definitely a challenge
I give the challenge: 8/10
Value:
....wait....value? you mean is it worth your money....? Well the
game is kinda old so yeah its cheap and FUN ^_^;
I give the value: 8/10
Overall:
Overall this game is a challenge, okay graphics, fun gameplay, and
sucky music. So unless your really REALLY picky about your music, this
game is very good, not many PLOT TWISTS...until you get to the second
GAME MWAAUHUAHUHUAHUAHUHAUHAUH....^_^
I give Golden Sun: 8/10
Conclusion:
...........Ummmmmm.............SONY FOREVER!!!!
