  Game Name:
Game & Watch Gallery
System:
Game Boy
Genre:
Action
Developer/Publisher:
Nintendo
Release Date:
Japan: February 1st, 1997
United States: May 1997
Europe: August 28th, 1997

Introduction:

Finally, Nintendo has re-released some of the greatest Game and Watch games onto the Game Boy! Game & Watch Gallery has four original Game and Watch games. Each Game and Watch has the classic game and the redesigned game. The redesigned games have characters from the Mushroom Kingdom including Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Toad, and even the Evil Bowser!

Story:

Game & Watch Gallery doesn't really have a story. It's just four arcade style games put onto one Game Boy game.

Gameplay:

The Game and Watch games included are:
Manhole
Fire
Octopus
Oil Panic
Each game is arcade styled so there is no end. The game becomes faster and faster with every point you score. After it passes another 100 points, then it slows down again. For every 200 points scored, you earn a star. You can only earn five stars per mode of Game and Watch game. If you reach 1000 points during one game, you unlock very hard or star mode on that game to side with easy and hard.

I give the gameplay: 8/10

Graphics:

Hey, what can I say. The game was meant for a the Game boy original so the colors and graphics aren't as (good) as some other Game Boy games.

I give the graphics: 7/10

Sound:

You can never get tired of the theme songs for each game.

I give the sound: 9/10

Replayability:

It's an arcade game. It's suppose to be replayable!

I give the replayability: 9.5/10

Challenge:

It takes some practice but after you get the hang of it it's not so bad.

I give the challenge: 8/10

Frustration:

Loosing at 996 points!!!!!!! This game can be very frustrating when you are about to get another star and you loose! but it is the good kind of frustration that motivates you.

I give the frustration: 7/10

Value:

You really have to like the classics to enjoy this game.

I give the value: 7/10

Overall:

Overall, this game is very fun and fast paced. You can play and stop at anytime without worrying about forgetting where you are (RPGs). It's good if you don't have enough time to devote to games (RPGs).

I give Game & Watch Gallery: 8/10

Conclusion:

Buy this game if you want to. I don't totally hate this game.
