  Game Name:
Nintendo World Cup
System:
Game Boy
Genre:
Sports / Soccer
Developer:
Technos Japan
Publisher:

Nintendo
Release Date:
United States: June 1991
Europe: July 18th, 2991

Introduction:

Are you ready for some hard kicking soccer action? Well get ready for Nintendo World cup! one of the very few soccer games STRAIGHT from Nintendo.

Story:

You must progress through 11 matches with the team of your choice. not much of a story to it.

Gameplay:

Before you start your "journey", you must pick who will play where and who you will control. You're always the middfielder; the leader. Gameplay is simple: Move around, shoot (B) and pass (A) on offence. On defence, you tackle (A) or slide (B) to get the ball back from the other team. NO FOULS BABY!!! There are also 3 types of shooting techniques:

Simple: just press to kick the ball normally.

Bicycle Kick: When the ball is coming at you from one of your team-mates, press A and B at the same time at the RIGHT  time to hit a more powerful kick. This only work after you've used up all your invincible ball kick (see below)

Invincible ball kick: Same as Bicycle kick only the ball smashes anyone and anything in its way. You get 5 IBK per half. So you might want to save them. This is an instant goal. What the ball does (like bouncing all over the place and going in the goal to just a straight bullet) depends on the player.

If on of your team-mates has the ball, you can tell them to shoot or to pass just by pressing a or b. Same on defence. (tackle and slide.)

I give the gameplay: 8/10

Graphics:

Well it's a GB game. Average graphics.

I give the graphics: 6/10

Sound:

The sound! The music!! OOOOO the music is SOO catchy in this game. Just before a match starts, you'll see a screenshot of the country your playing (landscape, you idiot) each with its own unique music. U.S.A's music is a short of the Batman theme!! Awesome!

I give the sound: 10/10

Replayability:

Once you beat it, which takes forever, you'll want to beat with another country and another and another!! But the good thing is that you get passwords to start at certain levels with certain teams. You you can start right where you left off!

I give the replayability: 8/10

Challenge:

Pretty easy. It's not that hard to score. That is if your team is fast enough. Some teams are faster than others. Just get the ball, dribble it down the field, shoot and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I give the challenge: 3/10

Frustration:

Hardly any at all!

Value:

Never seen it at used game stores! How weird is that?

I give the value: x/10

The teams:

Argentina
Germany
Brazil
Italy
Spain
Holland
U.S.S.R
Mexico
England
France
U.S.A
Cameroon

U.S.A never that good , anyways.  Sorry! CANADA WASN'T IN IT!!!

I give the teams: 10/10

Overall:

I pretty good soccer game that has no fouls. FUN!!!! It also has very catchy music in it.

I give Nintendo World Cup: 8/10

Conclusion:

THE END
