  Game Name:
Alien Hominid
System:
Gamecube
Genre:
Action
Players:
4

Developer:
The Behemoth
Publisher:
O~3 Entertainment
Release Date:
November 1st, 2004

Introduction:

Sort of Lilo and Stitch:but no-holds-barred

Story:

You play as a little alien that has crash landed on Earth and you are trying to survive and get home.

Gameplay:

It gets hard at times, but you have a reasonable amount of lives to survive. One hit and you're done for, two hits if you have an upgrade bubble surrounding you. The real pain is playing through the game in multiplayer, which is an extremely fun part of the game, yet the controls for P2 are different from P1,so it's best to just stick with P1 if you are used to that.

I give the gameplay: 8.0/10

Graphics:

The graphics were probably hand drawn, they are pretty cartoonish. Which is good. I like the style of the graphics a lot.

I give the graphics: 9.0/10

Sound:

Now that I really think about it (Been a while since I've heard the sound) the sound effects were actually pretty good. Explosions n' stuff.

I give the sound: 7.5/10

Replayability:

After you beat it, you pretty much have the feeling: cool. And then play minigames. But if you have any friends, it's usually all good playing through it more in co-op mode.

I give the replayability: 8.0/10

Challenge:

The game gets increasingly hard towards the end. I had to insert P2 and use it as a decoy to defeat the final boss, which was unreasonably hard by that point. Yet all the boss battles are extremely fun and hard at the same time, and you always get the sense of "whew!" the first time you beat a ridiculously hard boss.

I give the challenge: 9.0/10

Overall:

Overall the game is very fun to play. Even more fun if you play it with a pal. But when you've already beaten it several times and you're friend ain't over, you don't really have much to do with it.

I give Alien Hominid: 7.5/10

Conclusion:

If you have the time, check this one out. It's definitely worth a rental.
