The Review:

For those of you reading this you really shouldn't judge a book buy its cover. You should be rewarded for looking past the Disney license and reading this. Instead of a reward though you get to read my review. Anyway, you might be surprised at how good this game actually is. One very noticeable thing while playing D.E.S.A. is how much its like the Tony Hawk series. It actually uses the same game engine. One very appealing thing is D.E.S.A.'s customization options. You can customize your skaters head, clothes, and their deck. The game has a lot of well known skateboard companies like Valley and Popwar. You can always opt out of creating your own skater and choose from a dozen or so Disney characters. (Simba, Tarzan, Zurg etc.) When you first play DESA only a few characters and customization options are available, and you unlock more as you get further into the game. The game is divided into different worlds, using warps to get from Olliewood (the main area where you start) to other locations. Each area will have goals like "Collect S-K-A-T-E" or collect stars. Doing this might unlock new areas, customization objects or skaters. The movie areas are very detailed and not your average skate parks. For example, I enjoyed skating in the Human Camp (from Tarzan) more than I enjoyed skating in Manhattan in THUG (Tony Hawks Underground). The game is really easy though, I mean I unlocked all skaters and areas in a couple of days. While some goals can be challenging initially, you won't have too much of a problem. If you want to fully beat DESA though- I mean all goals completed- you could take an extra week or so to complete it. But even after you've beaten it you can always go back to free skate. Now, arent you glad you stayed with this review? (those of you answering no can kindly leave now) Wasn't so bad was it? Personally I liked it more than THUG. It was more creative and original, unlike THUG that had very generic dialogue. So, I hope you liked my 4th review. I will be back!!!!
