  Game Name:
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
System:
Gamecube
Genre:
Action RPG
Players:
Up to 4
Developer:
Square Enix
Publisher:
Nintendo
Release Date:
Japan: August 8th, 2003
United States: February 9th, 2004
Europe: March 12th, 2004

Introduction:

The first final fantasy for the gamecube

Story:

A deadly miasma has covered the land and the people have been using crystals to protect cities and villages. Every town has a crystal caravan that seeks out for the mystic water called myrrh that replenishes the crystal so the town can live. And this is the story of one such crystal caravan.

Gameplay:

The game is not turn based like normal final fantasies it is played in real time action. The controls are simple the joystick moves you around the b button picks up stuff or to talk to people and the a button is for attacking and to choose the area you are going to. The game is short and every 3 dungeons you beat you go to another year. The moogles are also used for mailing stuff to your family at the home town they can also carry the crystal chalice. At the end of each dungeon you get to level up your character in certain areas like magic or defense. The game can be played in single player mode but that gets repetitive but the multiplayer game is awesome but you need GBAs to pay and you need the connector cord but that costs alot of money.

I give the gameplay: 7/10

Graphics:

The game is amazing to look at. As usual square-enix has done great works in this area. The water is amazing to look at and so are the crystals and the detail on the characters and enemies. The magic effects are good to but they aren't the best if you ask me they could have been better. This game is one of the best on the gamecube

I give the graphics: 9.5/10

Sound:

The games music is done by somebody else then the usual guy. The opening scene song is one of my favorite songs of all time and the songs in the rest of the game are amazing also. The effect noises for magic are good to but not as good as the other parts.

I give the sound: 9.5/10

Replayability:

The game lacks in this area. There is no real reason to play it again but it still is fun to do different stuff then the first time to see how it affects the outcome in some areas

I give the replayability: 6/10

Challenge:

The game is hard at times and easy at other times. The games bosses do get harder and so do the dungeons so there is some challenge but little of it.

I give the challenge: 4/10

Frustration:

No real frustration in this game.

I give the challenge: 3/10

Value:

The game is worth every penny in my perspective. To others it might just be a rent instead of buy.

I give the value: 5/10

Overall:

the game is fun and underrated alot. If you like hack and slash games its for you but if you like turn based games don't look at this as a possibility. The game is shunned upon by some final fantasy fans and also praised by other final fantasy fans for giving it a new perspective.

I give Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: 8/10

Conclusion:

The game is made for certain people but not alot .But it is fun
