  Game Name:
Geist
System:
Gamecube
Genre:
First Person Shooter
Players:
1-4
Developer:
N-Space
Publisher:
Nintendo
Release Date:
United States: August 15th, 2005
Europe: October 7th, 2005

Introduction:

Geist is a sci fi fps that was released exclusively for the gamecube. I would say more but I don't wanna ruin it for u so read the review!

Gameplay:

Game play I must say is superb mostly cuz the frame rate stays constant in everything and the action never really stops and there is no better example than the multiplayer but I will get into that later. It features a very interesting game play style in where you must posses different humans and animals to get through the game. Weapons are pretty cool and the bosses are scary/cool but not too hard. Over all amazing!!!

I give the gameplay: 9/10

Graphics:

They remind us a lot of red faction in some spots and stays vary clean thru out the game. Graphics usually tend to mess up and slow down in intense multiplayer fights but geist keeps it near perfect which really adds to the experience.

I give the graphics: 8.5/10

Sound:

We haven't really noticed anything wrong with the sound other that the occasional skip in the music while playing in big multiplayer fights. The gun sounds are pretty nice but they sound like counter strike guns and some of them sound the same but we didn't really notice much.

I give the sound: 7.5/10

Replayability:

We say the replayability is thru the roof!! When you pick it up you wont put it down for a good hour or so unless you go hardcore like we do and play it for hours nonstop.

I give the replayability: 9.5/10

Challenge:

We say that  the cpus in multiplayer are some of the most mentally challenged bots ever. You want to put them in extreme mode if u want a challenge though. Single player bots are pretty much the same.....retarded lumps with guns but in single player they are more accurate and deadly.

I give the challenge: 6/10

Frustration:

There is some frustration when it comes to the bots in multiplayer. Sometimes they are mental institute patients then the next minute they are commandos.

I give the challenge: 7.5/10

Value:

High. You will come back to this game over and over again.

I give the value: 9/10

Multiplayer:

Multiplayer resurrects an old style of play and mixes it with a unique type of play. You basically have too posses different troops in each map and then it just turns into a normal fps but you can also un-posses them and find another host. All of that adds a lot of value and multilayer is probably the best thing it my mind.

I give the multiplayer: 9.5/10

Overall:

Fun game 100%.  If You are looking for a great multiplayer experience along with a great single player campaign for the gamecube this is the way to go.

I give Geist: 9/10

Conclusion:

We are gonna go play it right now so stop reading this and pick it up.
