  Game Name:
Mario Party 5
System:
Gamecube
Genre:
Action
Players:
1-4

Developer:
Hudson Soft
Publisher:
Nintendo
Release Date:
United States: November 10th, 2003
Japan: November 28th, 2003
United Kingdom: December 5th, 2003

Introduction:

I didn't see a single review on any Mario Party game so I'm going to start one. MP5 is is a repeat of all the other MP games. I think they should stop making them and go on to newer games.

Story:

There is a story plus the original party. The story is about Bowser trying to turn different dreams in to his dreams. You get to choose your character and make three Bowser jr.'s (blue, green and red) lose all of their coins while accompanied by Toad. Finally you go to Bowser's dream and then you battle him. The party has the same concept as the other MP games. Hit a dice block and move that number of spaces and collecting stars.

Gameplay:

I just love the board game idea and the mini games. The controls are easy to get used to and they don't just get you to use the A and B buttons, they get you to use all of the buttons A, B, analog stick, Z, X, Y, L and R. Some mini games even get you to wait for a rumble. I was really disappointed with the appearance of DK in this game. You cant play as him! But I did like the fact that you could play as Bowser jr., Boo and Toad which made up for it.

I give the gameplay: 9/10

Graphics:

I loved the graphics! I cant say anything except...........................probably one of Mario's best appearances ever.

I give the graphics: 10/10

Sound:

All the voice overs were amazing. The only problem I had with the voices was that I wish Bowser jr. could talk like in Super Mario Sunshine. The music is a little repetitive but is still a change for MP. Usually the music is real tacky but this time was a change

I give the sound: 9/10

Replayability:

OF COURSE IT IS!!! MP is never the same game twice.

I give the replayability: 10/10

Challenge:

I find this is a hard game if you want it to be hard. It's only hard when you are doing a mini game you're bad at. I think the hardest things are Bowser in story mode and when your partner is a total  dimwit.

I give the challenge: 7/10

Frustration:

The only thing that frustrates me is that your partners are sooooooooo stuuuupiiid especially on Clock Stoppers.

I give the frustration: 6/10

Value:

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yesssssss its a good value I think its totally worth your money or that one empty spot on your Christmas list

I give the value: 9/10

Extras:

I think the best thing on MP5 is the extra fun. You know super duel mode, volleyball, hockey, and the ever so annoying board/card game.
