  Game Name: Shadow the Hedgehog
System: Gamecube
Genre: Action
Players:1
Developer/Publisher: Sega
Release Dates:
United States: November 15th, 2005

Introduction:

Shadows first game just for him on a console and its awesome!

Story:

Shadow the black hedgehog is wondering who he really is and why he's there. He has no memory of himself or just about anybody who knows him. The only memory he has is of Maria's death and he doesn't even understand that. So he sets off to find the chaos emeralds as they seem to be the key to his memory. Just then aliens start attacking Westopolis and he heads in for an emerald.

Gameplay:

The controls are fairly easy to use and its not hard to learn them; although the first level is confusing and may take a while to get used to the moves and the new ability to use a gun and curse (finally!!). You have a choice in every level good, bad, or in between, and based on your actions you go to a different level. The faster you go through the level the better your rank, but the ranking system is harsh and you are most likely to get an E or a D.

I give the gameplay: 8/10

Graphics:

The graphics are the best yet for a sonic related game, especially for the starting demo.

I give the graphics: 9/10

Sound:

The sound is awesome, you can hear everything clearly and the music is just unbelievable.

I give the sound: 9.5/10

Replayability:

This is probably the only game you are likely to play again and again, one because there are only like seven stages and two because there are ten different endings, also 320 different ways to beat the game.

I give the replayability: 10/10

Challenge:

The challenge was enormous for some levels but others not so much, the game is really easy to beat even if you have to play it many times to get the last story.

I give the challenge: 7.5/10

Frustration:

A few of the levels were really annoying, and replaying the same level many times adds to it.

I give the frustration: 8.5/10

Value:

The game is worth a lot, renting it will do the job, but if you want to complete the library you will need to own it, if I had the money id buy it if it were $50

I give the value: 10/10

Overall:

The games just plain cool, it hits what Nintendo's been needing to get to the older audiences, cursing, killing, and (my personal favorite) wasting eggman a few times. It has its tough areas but it makes up for it.

I give Shadow the Hedgehog: 9/10

Conclusion:

Not much more to say, its just a cool game, they finally gave a hedgehog a gun, the abilities to curse and kill, and decent play speed, also a long lasting game if your willing to go all the way 100%.
