  Game Name: Quest for Camelot
System: Gameboy Color
Genre: Adventure
Developer: Titus
Publisher: Nintendo
Release Date: December 1st, 1998
Players: 1

Introduction:

EVERYONE likes Zelda. It is just a fact. Quest is a lot like the beloved Zelda series. Ok it takes Zelda and slaps an animated movie title on it. Still, if you are waiting for the GameCube Zelda, this can be a fun diversion.

Story:

Um.. Yeah, Story! The story in Quest follows the movie, I guess. (I've never seen it) Here goes: Sir Ruber has stolen excalibur and wants to de-throne King Arthur. So Kayley, the main character, and her blind friend and his bird go after Ruber.

Gameplay:

This game is actually pretty solid. The menus are a lot like Zelda: you carry two weapons at a time, using A and B to use them. You also have gems, which have a strange use. It costs gems to save. And, if you run out of gems and the boring factor of this game kicks in, you have a problem.

I give the gameplay: 5/10

Graphics:

Graphics are average for an early GBC game. It doesn't have the beauty of a game only Shigeru Miyamoto could make.

I give the graphics: 5/10

Sound:

Sound is bland and un-original, but isn't bad. It just isn't as great as its green clothed play-alike though. This is why it earns another *5*!!!

I give the sound: 5/10

Replayability:

This game starts to get a little boring... WHAT! It's over?!? Yeah, its short and easy. Nothing really challenges you so it won't keep you wanting more. Its good if you want something you haven't played in a while. Heck, I put this down and walked away in 2001. I drifted back in 2005. But this game is the meaning of a diversion.

I give the replayability: 6/10

Challenge:

If you can get on the internet, go to www.nintendocity.com and read this review; this game is way too easy for you. By a long shot. But some gamers enjoy putting down Resident Evil 4 and picking up something simple

I give the challenge: 3/10

Value:

I'd say buy is it's under $10, and if you like RPGs or Zelda or you collect games. (My value score is based on the time of the Game Boy Color, not 2005)

I give the value: 7/10

Overall:

I just picked it up again for the first time in a couple years and I'm satisfied. I'll play it for 20 minutes, then pop in a minigame or sports title.

I give Quest for Camelot: 6/10

Conclusion:

You'll only like Quest for Camelot if you don't mind old, simplified, basic games. And if you love LaVerne and Shirley and the Jeffersons. (spi-offs, get it?)
