  Game Name:
Mario Kart 64
System:
N64
Genre:
Racing
Players:
1-4 Simultaneous
Developer:
Nintendo
Publisher:
Nintendo
Release Date:
Japan: December 14th, 1996
United States: February 10th, 1997
Europe: June 24th, 1997

Introduction:

Shortly after it's release it was one of the most favorite games by millions of young kids everywhere. I was only about 8 when this glorious game came out. I found myself playing it over and over and over on my brand new expensive Nintendo 64! I would have friends over, I would goto their house, I would do so much just to play Mario Kart 64.

Story:

The story is basically a bunch of the Mario friends (and enemies I guess) getting together to enjoy a little race. The game simply is for you to get 1st in all races so you can be 1st place in the end.

Gameplay:

Gameplay is easy, quick, and controllable. I mean sure their were probably a few TO many cars on Toads turnpike, but ah what the heck. The gameplay is fun and easy to do with your hands. It has many fun perks to it like the Question Mark bombs and such. It is just good!

I give the gameplay: 9/10

Graphics:

well they are 3-D, yet comparison to todays world they were pretty mild... But for N64 they did a pretty damn good job. so lets rate this game for N64 graphics since that is what it is.

I give the graphics: 7/10

Sound:

This is probably one of THE best soundtracks on a game ever invented. Not only are the sounds that the characters make funny, but the music makes you're adrenaline kick in and hypes you up FAST. The main reason I am giveing this such a high rateing is  because well....

THE SONG FOR RAINBOW ROAD IS THE MOST AMAZEING RACEING GAME MARIO SONG EVER INVENTED IN THE HISTORY OF EXISTANCE!!!!!!!!!

I give the sound: 10000/10

Replayability:

As you read in my introduction... This game is so easy to play over and over and over and over again.. It is like the fricken energizer bunny. I mean, sure my brother stole my old Mario Kart 64 and sold it.. But almost every day i cringe from not haveing the ability to play as Toad who I love so much...

I give the replayability: 52.9/10

Challenge:

SELECT YOUR CHALLANGE! you can either play on a pretty simple track and level OR make the game hard by using the menu screen. I like to make the game more challanging for myself. It can be pretty hard actually...

Especially TOADs Turnpike!!! ...

I give the challenge: 9/10

Frustration:

hmmm... I never really get to frustrated at this game.. I mean when you lose. its just all good fun. THIS game is played for the raceing. if you lose a couple times its basically like saying "Yay I get to do it again!"

I give the frustration: 5/10

Value:

Ultimately Priceless.. I mean. I wouldnt sell my copy for a thousand bucks.. well I would. But i would go buy a new copy shortly afterwords and continue being a Capitalist pig!

I give the value: 10/10

Overall:

Overall this game is one of my favorite games and is just plainly to be stated as.. a Classic. thats all their is to it. It is an unbelievably fun classic.

I give Mario Kart 64 : 500/1

Conclusion:

God (AKA Miyamoto) put this game on the earth for our enjoyment. Now go out and buy a copy today.
