Introduction:
I am sure that you all know about this game but I will proceed to
review it anyway for the unlucky few who have missed out on it. Enjoy
my review about the greatest game ever...
Story:
The story consists of a boy named Link who lives in the Kokiri
Forest. He is not like the people (kokiri people) around him. He finds
a fairy and the Great Deku Tree tells him he needs to stop Ganondorf.
Basically, you have to set loose the 7 sages of all the temples in
order to combine their power to destroy Ganondorf. The story has many
twists and turns I cannot begin to type here and hope to finish. You
travel all over the land of Hyrule exploring and fighting evil while
releasing Sages.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is real time (where you run up to enemies and chop 'em!)
and is very fun. You can auto lock onto your target and blocking with
your shield keeps you from taking damage. You get to ride horses and
shoot bows from them. You also get magic, hookshots, slingshots, and
tons of other stuff. The boss fights are amazing cause you are
challenged to find their weakness before you can kill them. There is
also challenging puzzles in the game which really get your brain
working.
I give the gameplay: 10/10
Graphics:
The graphics are beautiful for n64. They're nothing like the new
Zelda coming out but they are worthy of a 10/10. It has to be one of
the best looking games ever on the n64. It just sucks you into the
game with the detailed characters and landscapes.
I give the graphics: 10/10
Sound:
I have to say the sound is beautiful. The music is the best
videogame music I have ever heard. I don't know who made this music
but they're a genius whoever they are. The sound sounds exactly like
what is being done (sword sheathed, feet padding, doors
opening/closing).
I give the sound: 10/10
Replayability:
This game has unlimited replayability for me. I have beaten it six
times and going on my seventh (currently at the forest temple). The
game's story and characters just suck you back into it every time.
I give the replayability: 10/10
Challenge:
It is a challenging game but there are much more challenging games
out there. I'd have to say it's worth an 8. I'm sure people don't like
too much challenge but this game is perfect. I did get stuck for half
a year cause I could't find a key in the water temple (lol).
I give the challenge:
8/10
Value:
This game's value is probably around $20 now. I bought it for $50
but it is sure to have gone down cause it has been out for so long.
The game is not that rare and quite easy to get. If you are talking
about if this game is worth playing then I say h*** yeah!!
I give the value: 10/10
Overall:
This game has brought me many memories when I was a child and I
hope it will bring you many too. The story, gameplay, graphics, sound,
replayability and value are all 10/10. The challenge is 8/10 cause it
is a challenging game yet doesn't squash your brain like others out
there. I recommend this game to anyone who has a n64 cause it is my
personal favorite game ever.
I give The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina
of Time: 10/10
Conclusion:
I hope that you enjoy this game like I always have. I just played
it yesterday and it still brings back the magical feeling I used to
get when I was a kid. This may sound stupid but sometimes I get teary
eyed just remembering the memories of playing this game with my
friends watching. I remember kicking volvagia's butt after dying for
10 times then cheering like crazy. Just enjoy this game for it is one
of the best (if not the best) games ever.
