Game Name: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
System: Nintendo 64
Genre: Sports
Developer: Edge of Reality
Publisher: Activision
Release Date: Mar 01, 2000
Players: 2 Simultaneous

Introduction:

The first in many Tony Hawk games, classic game thats still fun to play to this day. The breakthrough game in the whole Extreme video game category, and the series that is still the best.

Story:

You start as an amateur skater and do certain goals to collect tapes to progress throughout the game as the goals increase in difficulty.

Gameplay:

You skate around different levels, in every stage they have 3 goals that always stay the same, "Collect S-K-A-T-E" where you collect those letters to get a tape, "Hidden Tape" and "Destroy the boxes" where you have to knock over a few sets of boxes. You get a wide variety of different skaters to choose from and they each have there 3 of there own special moves that you can do by building up your special meter by doing lots of tricks. You start off with one skateboard and unlock more as you go through the game, you can pick your wheel colour too. The levels are huge which makes them not get old very quickly.

I give the gameplay: 9/10

Graphics:

The graphics are awesome on this game for the time it was made, they don't have alot of glitches and the way they show the tricks is really cool.

I give the graphics: 8/10

Sound:

It has a soundtrack of bands you've probably never heard of, the songs suit the game though. the sounds when you land on a rail or land on a ramp are pretty good too, but the sound in this game is nothing special.

I give the sound: 6/10

Replayability:

I've played this game from start to finish at least 50 times. Definitely one of the most replayable games ever.

I give the replayability: 10/10

Challenge:

The first time I played this game it was really hard just to do the first competition and couple levels, but then as I played more I got better and the game just improved from there. I love how they did it that way.

I give the challenge: 8/10

Value:

This game was definitely worth the money I spent for it, I would have spend so much renting it over and over again.

I give the value: 6/10

Overall:

Overall this game is one of the best games I've ever played and I recommend it to anyone into skateboarding or extreme sports games.

I give Tony Hawk's Pro Skater: 9.5/10
