Story:
Wily's Back! and this time he has created even more sinister robots
to mount his attack against Megaman. Each of the eight empires is
ruled by a different robot master. defeat each one, build up your
arsenal of weapons, and take on the evil Dr. Wily himself!
Gameplay:
The 2nd installment in the series, and in my opinion, one of the
better ones in the NES series of megaman games. when you first start
the game, you have the option of two difficulty levels: normal and
hard. after done selecting that, start the game, and select which
robot master you will face off against first. And the fact that you
can start off in any level in ANY order, is one of the best things
about this game. this is the nice touch that the megaman games are
mainly known for. the vast selection and variety in each level is
amazing for a nes game, and so many weapons puts this game right where
it needs to be.
I give the gameplay: 8.5/10
Graphics:
Well, what can i say about graphics. they are very good for a nes
game, you can tell what everything is without trouble, and everything
looks crisp and clear. very good for such an early title
I give the graphics: 9.5/10
Sound:
WOW! two words can describe the sound in this game. FREAKING
AMAZING!! the music is very well done. never gets tiring or
repetitive, and it seems to fit in with the background. if you've
blazed through this game a few times, you should be able to recall all
the music by simply thinking of anything to do with this game. Capcom
did a VERY good job on the sound
I give the sound: 10/10
Replayability:
Like any megaman game, it usually has great replayability. and this
is no exception. megaman 2 probably has the highest replayability of
all the nes megaman games, simply because it offers 2 levels of
difficulty. not only that, but the game is so well done, it will draw
you back for more :D
I give the replayability: 8/10
Challenge:
Even if you are going through megaman 2 for the first time, you
shouldn't have much difficulty, except for maybe one level (quickman,
anyone?). it does offer nice challenge, and if you find the game
getting too easy, try it on hard.
I give the challenge: 6/10
Value:
Depending on where you pick this game up, it may run you between $5
to $30. if you didn't have this game I would highly recommend picking
it up for $30, although it could probably be bought much cheaper.
I give the value: 9/10
Overall:
Want a big bang for your buck? Buy Megaman 2!
I give Megaman 2: 8.5/10
