Introduction:
WOOHOO! Megaman's 4th adventure, and my personal favorite :D
Story:
same old story? i think not! Dr. Cossack has arrived in town with 8
new and powerful robot masters. bigger and badder than anything dr.
wily ever created.
Gameplay:
YES! the gameplay in megaman 4 rules! introducing the new Mega
Buster, a sweet charge-style attachment to megaman's arm cannon. also
features rush for the 2nd time, to help megaman on his grand
adventure. very nice controls to go with this game, and even some neat
little secrets that i will leave you to find :P
I give the gameplay: 9/10
Graphics:
YAY! hardcore graphics to support a hardcore game. i love the
smoothness and the colors used. no glitches that i can think of off
hand, and the quicksand in pharaoh man's level, along with the rain
and running water in toad man's level, only add to the exciting
graphics of MEGAMAN 4! very well done capcom!
I give the graphics: 9.5/10
Sound:
the megaman 4 music is right up there with the megaman 2 tunes.
perhaps maybe even better than megaman 2. the charging mega buster,
the boss level music, and even the intro and title music...all
perfect. i cannot find a single thing wrong with the music. so after
writing this, it gets higher than megaman 2 :D.
I give the sound: 9.5/10
Replayability:
hmmm... this adventure is sure is fun to play over and over for a
bit. certainly has a high replayability. sometimes before i had my
computer, i'd pop this game in and just listen to the music... thats
not really replaying it though :P
I give the replayability: 8/10
Challenge:
hmm.. not very challenging, but you may have trouble in a few
places, costing you a life or 2( or more :P)
I give the challenge: 6.5/10
Value:
WOOT! one of the more common megaman games, and easily my favorite.
expect to pay between $10-$30, again depending on where you buy it. i
would pay more than $30 if i didnt have this wonderful gem of a game.
worth more than your money!
I give the value: 9.5/10
Overall:
this is one of the greatest nes games i have played, probably in
the top 10, but definitely in the top 20. this game is good all
around, and shouldn't give the amateur/novice nes players much
difficulty to beat
I give Megaman 4 : 9/10
Conclusion:
Best. Game. Ever. well not really, but damn close!
