  Game Name: Mega Man
System: NES
Genre: Action
Developer/Publisher: Capcom
Release Date: 1987
Players: 1

Introduction:

Here it is, the one that started it all! join megaman in his very first adventure, on the one, the only, Nintendo Entertainment System. help him take out 6 evil robots, created by Dr. Wily to destroy megaman.

Gameplay:

yes, the first megaman for the nes. this has to be my least favorite out of all 6. while this is the one that sort of "paved" the road for the others, i didnt find it that great. i liked the level select option, the nice controls, and thats about

I give the gameplay: 6/10

Graphics:

if i bought this game back in 1987, i would have been astonished by the graphics! this game probably had the best graphics for its time, very colorful and and well blended.

I give the graphics: 7.5/10

Sound:

i don't know what it is about the sound, but personally it pisses me off. it gets very annoying, and seems very repetitive. a severe downside to this game. i didn't enjoy the music except for maybe one or two levels, but even then it was nothing great.

I give the sound: 5/10

Replayability:

there is only one thing that will stop you from wanting to play this over and over: the music. however if you find the music good, then all the more power to you. but i disliked it, and it prevents me from playing this game more.

I give the replayability: 5/10

Challenge:

this game is not very challenging at all. there may be one or two parts in the game that will cost you a life or two, but nothing really challenging.

I give the challenge: 4/10

Value:

the value on this game is high, although sometimes the value may drive you away from this game. i have seen this game go for no less than $25, and as high as $40. i wouldn't pay $40 for this game unless i needed it/wanted it badly enough, but $25 is a fair price. you may not get the enjoyment out of the money you invest in it though.

I give the value: 5.5/10

Overall:

it's the original megaman, but in my opinion, far from anything great. the graphics for such an early nes game are nice, but the horrendous music is a major downside. this is only my opinion on this game. you may find it to be the greatest in the series, who knows? don't let my opinion stop you from at least trying this game.

I give Megaman: 5/10
