Game Name: Super Mario World
2:
Yoshi's Island
System: Super Nintendo
Genre: Sidescroller/Action
Developer/Publisher: Nintendo
Release Date: October 1st, 1995
Players: 1 |
Introduction:
Everybody loves Yoshi! And he is here in this fun game, Yoshi's
Island.
Story:
Loveable Yoshi is having trouble on his island. Baby Mario fell
onto his back, Baby Luigi is missing, and Kamek has sent out plenty of
the troops to get Baby Mario. It is up to the Yoshi's to save Baby
Luigi and the stork that was carrying both of them.
Gameplay:
The game is easy to play because the controls are very easy to
learn. The Yoshi's can jump very high, and they can hover for a while
if the jump button is held. They jump even higher if the jump button
is held after jumping on an enemy. Their tongues can reach things that
is far away and can help when there is a shyguy or something else
coming at you. But take heed: some enemies are not as edible as
others. His tongue doesn't work on everything. There are also things
that don't make much sense to me, but are very helpful. There are
bubbles that, when Yoshi jumps into them, turn him into a Yoshi copter
that helps yoshi to fly, a Yoshi submarine so he can swim underwater,
and a mole like tank thing that digs into the ground. Odd, but
helpful.
I give the gameplay: 9/10
Graphics:
The graphics are actually very good for Super Nintendo. For one
thing, it at least looks like Yoshi is actually eating whatever it is
that is in his mouth. Most games just have people shoving food into
their face and it gets smaller until it disappears. Another part of
Yoshi's island that proves the graphics are pretty good is the fact
that while walking down stairs, Yoshi's feet actually touch each stair
while he is walking down. Even Halo for xbox doesn't do that.
I give the graphics: 10/10
Sound:
The sound is pretty good. It's not too exciting, which makes it
easier for people to actually play the game rather than feel a rush to
go fast because of loud, fast music. I'm also able to enjoy the music.
I go onto sites that have downloadable video game music that has
Yoshi's Island in it.
I may be a little obsessed with the game, but I think you'll agree!
I give the sound: 9/10
Replayability:
There is a score that you get at the end of the level. It is from
1-100. So when you beat the game, you can go back to the levels and
try for the 100 points on each level. After you get all levels to 100
points, there are two extra things you can get in that world. The
first one is a bonus game, and the second is a bonus level. So you can
just keep replaying the levels!
I give the replayability: 10/10
Challenge:
The game is pretty challenging. There are a lot of enemies that
will try to kill you, and some are faster than Yoshi. so you need a
quick button finger (or in Yoshi's case, a quick tongue) to beat them
and eat them.
I give the challenge: 8/10
Value:
This game is worth every penny. I love this game and, if you buy
it, I'm absolutely sure that you will too.
I give the value: 10/10
Overall:
What else can I say but the game is fun and addicting? Oh, yes. It
is also awesome.
I give Super Mario World 2:
Yoshi's Island: 10/10
Conclusion:
Yoshi's island is a cool game that is both challenging and fun.
Remember: If you can't beat 'em, eat 'em!
