Introduction:
Well, it's me... again. Sorry Nintendo City, it's just this place
ROX! And if I'm bothering you readers out there, please stop reading
now. Either that or ignore my reviews.
Today is another Wii review. But this game, however, is totally a
Nintendo original. Wii Sports is your basic 5-sport Wii game
consisting of; tennis, baseball, bowling, golf, and boxing. Actually,
so far it's the only 5-sport Wii game. Known for it's easy controls,
intuitive multiplayer and incredible fun. Not to mention the inclusion
of all my favourite Miis...
Story:
There is no story... Just get out there and have a hell of a time,
okay?
Gameplay:
The most original style of gameplay to date. There are five
different ways to control the player, depending on what sport you're
playing. For instance, if you're playing baseball, and you're up to
bat, you hold the Wii Remote like an actual bat, as if you were going
to really hit the ball. Or if you're boxing, you would hook up your
Nunchuck and start punchin' away at the screen. All these interactive
controls are fun and easy to learn. There's even a Fitness Test in the
game to see how 'young' your body is. Great for cardio workouts.
I give the gameplay: 10/10
Graphics:
Nothing incredible about the graphics. Just modified stick people
(Miis) and none of that 'crazy, insane, hi-def graphics' all this game
is meant for is good control, and family fun, no matter how stupid you
look in the real world. If you wanted good graphics you should have
gotten the PS3. Not that there's anything wrong with the PS3 or Wii
Sports for that matter.
I give the graphics: 6/10
Sound:
The music is quite catchy, and there are modified tunes of the
theme song for every sport. The SFX are pretty realistic. When you're
bowling, you can hear the other Miis around you, just like in a real
bowling alley.
I give the sound: 8/10
Replayability:
You can play this until your hands come off your arms,
but there's no reason to let dust gather on this game.
I give the replayability: 10/10
Challenge:
There is only one game that may prove challenging to many players,
especially me - and that's Tennis. But everything else is smooth like
a baby's a- buttocks.
I give the challenge: 2/10
Frustration:
What frustration?
I give the challenge: 1/10
Overall:
This is a nice family game fit for an entire generation of fun
people. And it's for all ages, from a two-year old to a 92-year old.
Great fun for fun-lovers, like me.
I give Wii Sports: 10/10
Conclusion:
This truly is the definition of the perfect Nintendo game, let
alone video game. An incredible, healthy way of a virtual lifestyle.
Until my next review fellow Nintendorks, stay in the Nintenzone!
