Ending





So you've beaten the Evil King Koopa and saved the Princess have you?
Well, what is next?
What is this New Quest the Princess Speaks of?

Well, the new quest is basically the exact same quest you just did but with a few slight tweaks to make the game a little more challenging.

The Great Goomba Switch:

The most obvious tweak, and the tweak you will see within a few seconds of starting your new quest is;
ALL Goombas have been replaced with Buzzy Beetles.
As seen in the following screenshots.

This Goomba/Buzzy Beetle switch does make the game a little more difficult.
For one thing Buzzy Beetles are much harder than Goombas. Excuse the pun.
Buzzy Beetles are even harder then Koopa Troopas. They are just like them in the sense when you jump on them they go into their shell, where you can then push them into other enemies.
But! The Buzzy Beetles are harder than Koopa Troopas in one respect.
They cannot be killed by Fireballs!
And you may be asking, "What happens to the Buzzy Beetles that were there before?"
"Well they get replaced by Ultra-Mega-Super Buzzy Beetles."
"Really!?!?!?!"
"No, not really. They just stay the same."

Platform Changes:

That is not the only tweak to the game.
You will notice that various platforms throughout the game have become smaller.
As noted in the following Screenshots.

More Fish in the Sea:

That is not all for tweaks.
You will literally see more fish in the see.

The High Score!
Sorry people who want to replay the game over and over to get the highest High Score in history. When you do the new quest your Score meter goes right back to 000000.

So be on the look out when you play the second time around. More enemies, and harder at that, as well as smaller platforms.

It is nice in that Nintendo did make the game slightly harder the second time around.
It is also nice the game doesn't just end and make you reset the game.
Go ahead, try and beat the game over and over again. See how many times you can save the Princess without dieing.
